#BrockYouLikeAHurricane became the final musical tribute I created for Brian and Katie Brock, capturing the story of their life together leading up to their wedding day.
It came after Boo Thang & His Womern, my first attempt at turning their relationship into a song. That one connected with Katie, but this version was the one that really landed with both of them.
The song pulls directly from the stories, jokes, and little details that make their relationship uniquely theirs, from meeting under the neon lights at Ukulele’s and Brian’s Crocs, to their pets, wrestling, Hole In One donuts, and a proposal in the hog barn at the Grange Fair.

More than anything, this song was meant to preserve a snapshot of who Brian and Katie were before they officially became husband and wife. It is funny, personal, a little unconventional, and filled with the kind of memories that only make sense when you know the people behind them.
From “I love you and shit” to Brian finding someone who will actually watch wrestling with him, every part of the song celebrates the humor, friendship, and chemistry that brought them to their wedding day.
