Candy Conundrum

If you love Halloween as much as we do, you know the routine: decorate the house, light the pumpkins, fill the candy bowl… and then remember you live in the country where absolutely nobody comes trick-or-treating. 😂

That little frustration inspired my new song, “Candy Conundrum.” It’s about making the best of it—turning all that unused candy and Halloween spirit into our own celebration with family, friends, costumes, laughs, and way too much sugar.

About the Song

Candy Conundrum

Happy Halloween! 🎃 “Candy Conundrum” was inspired by one of the funniest problems that comes with loving Halloween while living out in the country: we decorate, light the pumpkins, fill the candy bowl, and get completely ready for trick-or-treaters… who never show up.

“What do I do with all this candy?”

So instead of letting all that Halloween spirit—and all that candy—go to waste, the song turns the frustration into the solution: make your own fun. Invite the family and neighbors, break out the costumes, turn the leftover treats into a feast, and make Halloween a party anyway. “Candy Conundrum” is a lighthearted celebration of adapting, laughing at the situation, and refusing to let a quiet country road ruin a perfectly good Halloween. 👻🍬🎃

The Lyrics

Candy Conundrum

Intro

Halloween's here, it's a fright
Decorations glow, we're set for the night

Verse 1

We deck the halls with ghostly pride,
Pumpkin lights flicker, the neighbors can't hide
But here in the country, it’s just us tonight,
No kids in sight, what a spooky plight!

Pre-Chorus 1

Oh the cobwebs weave, and the spiders scurry,
But for the candy bowl, there's no rush or hurry.

Chorus 1

What do I do with all this candy? (Oh no!)
Chocolate bars and lollipops dandy! (So sweet!)
We love the scares and the Halloween scene,
But we’re left with a pile of treats that gleam!

Verse 2

We put on costumes, we dance and sing,
Pretend it's a party, let the laughter ring!
But when the night falls and the moon's high,
The only ghosts are the bats that fly.

Pre-Chorus 2

The graveyard’s quiet, the pumpkins glow bright,
Still waiting for visitors, but there’s no one in sight!

Chorus 2

What do I do with all this candy? (Oh no!)
Chocolate bars and lollipops dandy! (So sweet!)
We love the scares and the Halloween scene,
But we’re left with a pile of treats that gleam!

Bridge

I’ll start a sugar fest, just me and my crew,
Candy corn tossing and a caramel stew!
Family potluck, we’ll devour with glee,
Turn this candy chaos into our jubilee!

Verse 3

We’ll invite our neighbors, make it a blast,
A spooky carnival, hope it’s a hit at last.
With tales of old ghosts, and eerie delight,
Together we’ll savor this Halloween night!

Chorus 3

What do I do with all this candy? (Oh yes!)
Chocolate bars and lollipops dandy! (Let’s eat!)
We love the scares and the Halloween scene,
Now we're sharing our treasures, it’s a sugary dream!

Outro

So if you’re in the country and feeling alone,
Decorate your house and make it your own.
For every sweet treat that you can’t resist,
Let’s make Halloween a party you won’t want to miss!
